We are sorry that we have written this blog post late but we thought late is better than nothing. Today, In short we are talking about SLC Examination and Its result in 2069 and future course for our yound boys and girls. Few days back, the result of SLC 2068 has been announced and it has been reported by Media that almost half of the total examinees have failed. That is sad. We are sure that you have already checked your SLC Result but If you have not checked it yet, then, you can check SLC RESULT - 2068 from slc.ntc.net.np i.e. http://slc.ntc.net.np/ We wish that you have passed your SLC exam with very good marks, with distinction. If you are not able to check your result there, you can try this site to get your SLC 2068 Result: http://slcresult.soce.gov.np/ . The First website belongs to Nepal Door Sanchar Sasthan (Nepal Telecom) and the Second site belongs to Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Office of the Controller of Examination (OCE), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. These two sites are official sites for announcing SLC Results and though there are many private websites declaring/putting up SLC Result, they are not officially allowed sites. That's why we have not put these websites link here and we ourselves have not uploaded SLC Result in our website.
Why we are writing this blog post today? It is because we in Nepali Gajal have thought that we need to speak something about ill design of SLC Examinations. SLC stands for School Leaving Certificate Examination and in Nepal, it is considered by far the most difficult examination to crack. That's why it is also called 'iron gate' in Nepali education system.
However, SLC is a flawed concept. Nepal has already introduced Plus 2 system of education that is class 11 and 12 (Das Jod Dui in Nepali). Earlier, People used to attend Colleges after Class 10 that is after passing SLC. Now, Nepalese University are slowly phasing out Intermediate Level of Nepali University Education like I.A, I.Com, I.Ed. etc. and replacing it by 10+2 Education.
I.A, I.Com, I.Ed. etc. used to be conducted by Universities like Tribuwan University in Nepal and Now, 10+2 Education is managed by Higher Secondary Education Board in Nepal. In short it is called HSEB.
Now, with the changes education system all over, Nepal Government should reform its education and we hope that Nepal government will soon reform its education system so that people will write a comprehensive examination after Class 12 so that it will be decided whether a student is ready to go to Universities to study University Level Education - Bachelor Degree. Therefore, we at NepaliGajal think that we have a faulty education system in Nepal and it must be reformed soon.
As it may be our wish to see the reform, however, it is not going to be soon and therefore, in this blog, we concentrate about what SLC Examination and its results means to us.
