Nepal played its semi-final match against UAE at Kirtipur Cricket Ground, Kathmandu today on 2 April, 2013. UAE won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first, UAE made 133 runs by losing its 9 wickets in 20 overs match. From the UAE side, SP Patil scored the highest run 37 in 33 balls. Similarly, Mohammad Azam was not out by scoring 24 runs in 15 balls.
Nepal's Prithu Baskota bagged three wickets by giving 20 runs and Basant Regmi and Shakti Gauchan also bagged 2 wickets each.
Nepal, in chasing the target of 135,SP Khakurel scored 22 Runs,Pradip Airee 58 runs and Gyanendra Mall scored 20 runs. In response, Nepal scored 134 runs by losing 4 wickets in 19.1. At one point, Nepal was in pressure but in 19th over, Nepali Player B Bhandari scored two huge sixes and eased the pressure. His two sixes were also instrumental to finish the game in 19.1 overs.
So it's Nepal v Afghanistan tomorrow (3rd April, 2013) in the Final of the 2013 ACC Twenty20 Cup. Thanks for being with us. Join us then!

Nepal registered a 121-run victory over Singapore on Sunday (in the match held on 31 March, 2013) in the ACC T20 Cup to secure berth in the semifinals as well as the World T20 Qualifiers. The Update is based on Republica News
Following the win, Nepal finished the group stage as the runner-up of Group A, where Hong Kong is at the top. Nepal will take on Group B winner, the UAE, in the semifinal on Tuesday (2 April, 2013) while Hong Kong will lock horns with Group B runner-up Afghanistan.

It is a great moment for Nepali Cricket Team. Nepal is advancing strength by strength in International Cricketing map among associate nations.
Nepal became Group Second in recent match of ACC T20 Cup and has booked a berth for semifinal spot.
Nepal defeated Singapore with a huge margin in its last match and has now advanced to another level. After the ACC T20 is over, it is decided which two top teams will be able to take part in the ICC World T20 Qualifiers 2013 except the UAE and Afghanistan.
The UAE, being a host nation for ICC World T20 Qualifiers 2013, will automatically be a participant of the Tournament - ICC World T20 Qualifiers 2013. On the other, Afghanistan will also be automatic participant for ICC World T20 Qualifiers 2013 as it has ODI-status.
For Nepali Cricket Lovers, there would not be any great moment than this. The target for Nepali Cricket Team is to win all rest of the matches that are played in Nepal now and to book a berth for ICC World T20 Qualifiers 2013. Nepali Cricket lovers would love to watch their country to do well in ICC World T20 Qualifiers 2013 and hopefully, Nepal will soon, be participating in World T20 Cricket Tournament.
It has been a long wait for Nepali Cricket Fan. We are eagerly waiting for a day when Nepal will be a nation with ODI and Test Status.
