Mayan Calender and the End of the World -2012 December

So, What you think? Does the world really end on December 2012? Some say that the world ends on December 21, 2012 and Some say that it will end on 31 December, 2012? Why people are saying so that world ends in 2012 December is difficult to understand.

The most argued reasoning so far has been that Mayan Calender ends on December 21, 2012 and thereafter, there is no further dates in that calender and People are saying that World ends in December, 2012. If you remember Movie 2012 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_(film) which was based on science fiction and showed the disaster of the world. The movie was based on the premise that world ends in December 2012.
